Compost Crank® Aerator Tools and Home Composting Guide
How to Use A Compost Crank® Compost Aerator
Why choose a Compost Crank® Compost Aerator?
Whether you compost in a bin, pile, or pit, you may be using a fork or other tool to turn it. Aerating your compost gets oxygen and moisture to all the helpful microorganisms, keeping them healthy and warm, and the pile smelling like good dirt. In our experience as composters, mixing the pile with a pitchfork is hard labor and takes more time than we would like to spend on this particular chore. Winged type compost aerator tools are an easier alternative, but not nearly as effective or complete as turning with a fork. The corkscrew design of our Compost Crank® solves all of these issues.
With a simple, non-back breaking, cranking or twisting motion the tools dig into your compost. As you pull up, the corkscrew grabs the material and lifts compost up from the bottom thoroughly, easily, efficiently, and reliably – mixing your compost. Work throughout your bin, layer by layer, and your compost can be mixed in a few easy minutes. Our compost aerator tools are also handcrafted by us here in Tucson, Arizona using high quality materials and are warranted for a lifetime of use. Above is our current catalog of products, and below that is a short 2 minute video showing the tools in use. To read what other composters say, view our testimonials page here, and the reviews on our Amazon store here. Though, if you decide to purchase we would appreciate you doing so from our website. 🙂 However you end up composting, the important thing is to do it! Thank you for looking, and happy composting!
